Just in case you start driving with the door wide open. It's dangerous bro.

I threw mine into the woods on the side of the highway. Might still be there.

+3!!! I killed my battery twice by leaving the lights on. I guess I'm spoiled by newer cars. My E34 tells me in words... "Hey idiot, your lights are still on!!" Although my old 85 mercedes at least buzzed at me.

Maybe i'll look into a way to rig this up with a little relay off a wire from the light switch and ignition switch then wired to the gong? It would have to supply power to the gong when the ignition is off and the lights are on... so hmm... probably not too hard to make work.

I didn't know they had one until I started taking stuff apart and found it halfway plugged in, I just took it out and now it sits in a box somewhere. I've never even heard the sound, maybe I'll go hook it up and see if it
works. Oh wait I cut off the connector :(.

For any of you that never plan on hooking it back up you can cut the connector off and use for the analog clock install, it fits without having to cut off the tabs like with the power window connectors.

Then again my clock doesnt work, but I don't see how the connector would matter.

    +2!!!

The worst part about the lights on an e30 is that the headlights go out with the key and it's easy to forget they are on if you had them on during the early evening. Caused a dead battery once :(

JMy chime is hanging right were it's supposed to be, just not plugged in hehe.
