Fuzzy/felt dashboard? How do I make it happen?

I am not an interior guy and have only come here once to find out if the government was spying on me via a cleverly placed voice recording instrument in the dashboard (theory was highly unsubstantiated). I have a cracked dash and if I ever get around to replacing it I think it would look nice to have a fuzzy / felt dashboard. Might this be a beat to death topic that I am unaware of? possibly, but does anyone have any info on how this is done? Are there any other dash painting or re-covering ideas that you have for me?
