    Anyone seen one of these?

Found it on an 84 318i at the junkyard. It fits in the passenger side of the trunk, where the battery is on the 6-cylinders.

    Do all 318s have em?

Too bad I have my battery in the trunk, that would be a nice thing to have. Keep a quart of oil, coolant, etc in there.

Yeah I know. That little space on the driver side of the trunk isn't enough to store anything except the factory jack and one quart of oil.

Dunno if I want to sell it or keep it yet. It's not in mint condition, looks like it's been in standing water for awhile but can probably clean up. I'll figure out in a few days.

Yeah, mine doesn't have that either. It's just a carpeted pocket.

Go buy a 6 pack of Castrol oil. Those boxes fit on top of the battery cover perfect. You can fit tons of stuff in em.

I have a big piece of dead weight back there. Aaron removed his and replaced it with a battery.
