I wanted to be sure before I buy a center console on ebay UK that it is the same console for left hand as it is for right hand cars. I think they are but want to be sure. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks
If its a RHD car, the E-brake console will have the hole for the e-brake on the wrong side for US cars. The think the upper portion of the console is the same, but the window lock-out button may be on the opposite side as well.
No - they can't be the same - one look at the dash will tell you it's not a symmetrical part. The dash is angled towards the driver, so is the center console.

The forward console is definitely different as george mentioned due to the driver-oriented angle.
The rear console where the handbrake is, I think it's the same for all cars. I think in the E30, they had the handbrake on the left side for both LHD and RHD cars.
Yeah, I'm an idiot. I should've just looked at my own car rather than trust the ebay pic. It was showing a left hand drive console and I assumed it was out of a RHD car because it was UK.
