    Seat heaters

Where is a good source for grabbing the whole kit? I'll need the pads, wiring, and switches. I've done a little searching with no luck, I'm very mechanically capable and won't have any problems swapping things where needed unless re-stitching becomes an issue. Is my best bet to just find new seats? My current leather sports are mint condition so I'd rather not unless needed. Suggestions?

There of course aftermarket kits. I'm interested in doing this as well. Haven't looked into it yet.

i went to the junk yard and took the whole system from a car. i dont really like the e30 heating elements, they are 4 little strips, i cut 2 or 3 a them opening up the seats. would e36 heating elements work with the e30 system??

Seriously, consider aftermarket seat heaters. The BMW stuff in insanely expensive and works poorly compared to aftermarket.

Can the aftermarket seat warmers work with the OE switches?
