    '87 front seat removal !!!!

what a headache ... so much for a 5 min job --- the rear bolts on the front seats.. good GAWD ... can't hit it with a socket, (lower bucket hangs too low) can't get it with a wrench (frame rail blocks wrench) .. bought a swivel that didn't fit either (clearance)... eventually found a an old 17mm wrench thats was slim enuff.. slow but sure ... Whew!!!.. got it off .. ughh !! 18 years of muck & grime and old coffee & crap fused to the seat frame ..... .. oh well.. serves me right for buying an old car !!!! ...

now, on to constructing some kinda adapter to mate my CRX seats to the rails ...

Uhhh. I used a ratchet/socket without problems. Did you slide the seat foward and tilt the back of the seat foward?

You know there is a lever on the side of the seat. With it you can raise the seat bottom by like 5inches. Then that bolt is super easy to get to with a normal socket....

i was actually expecting a lot more range of movement for the seat --i tried everything to make that friggin' seat move .. NEIN !!!... i'm thinking that the back passenger had to be rather skinny to escape--and cursed the germans for POOR design .. it was prolly jus stuck ... oh well .. its already out ...
