    Cabrio with a roll cage/bar

    Hey guys.

So I went to an autocross in medford today with my S13, and I was talking to the miata guys. They all had roll cages. They said you have to have them to race autocross with a vert.

I have never seen a roll bar/cage in an E30. Does anyone have a pic? or better photoshop skills than me? I think it would look RETARDED. So this is kinda important, all of the sudden (unfortunately).

I will be making the cage/bar myself. I have sufficient fabrication skills and access to the appropriate facilities. (good ol mechanical engineering school shop!).

    thanks in advance guys,
    Joey

Ok, here is my 15 minute stab at a roll bar. I stole this car off of google. Then i put ebay wheels on it, big brakes, painted red from bronzit, tucked the bumpers, cleared the corners, and took the passenger out of the car. Also slammed it. Feel free to leave feedback, I know i suck! haha

Totally off-topic, but nice to see another Oregon guy! We need to do an Oregon-exclusive meet.

I live in Bend, and my grandfather lives in Eagle Point, next time I'm down there we should get together.

              thanks schneider, funny post.

I kinda thought that was a load (cage thing). I was gonna check it at the scca website but you guys posted before I was done playing in photoshop. I am gonna check it out.

Eurospeed- heck yes we should. I don't have my e30 yet, but I would love to see yours. and I could show you my nissan. It's turbo and RWD, so I know you guys won't HATE it. lol

YEah. "Roll bars are recommended" says so in the first 10 pages of the 2005 SCCA soloII rule book.

They are required for solo trials and soloI though. Trials are the hill climbs and time trials.
