Electric sunroof or keep the crank? Opinions??

Im in the process of installing my new rear view with maplights and my radardetector and while doing this i have taken apart the hole front half of the headliner area. I was thinking maybe i should just install an electric sunroof while its all apart..

What you guys thing? Any reason to keep the crank??

Is the hold headliner easy to remove? The front half was prettty easy. Maybe I could get the black sued like RSV??

Keep the crank. Adds a bit of old school to the bimmer IMO.

it will probably cost me under 200 to put the electric sunroof in with the one touch switch...

          maybe i will do that

then ill want to replace the headliner.

          hmm
i could put a black head liner in it

til you slip and crack em in the eye, cos you were showing off how fast you can do it. then you have a lawsuit pending.

200 bucks? Damn son, where are you getting your parts? I sold all my electric sunroof equip. to a friend for like 50 bucks, and they got it swapped out in a day or two.

As far as what you need, you need the motor, the switch, the wiring plug, and the tracks that the cables are in. You kinda have to pry out the tracks, but be careful, the shiney aluminum stuff up there is VERY sharp, I cut the tip of my finger off last summer while pulling it out of my old car. I advise wearing mechanics gloves for that stuff.
