    Corbeau FX1

Anyone have these seats? I'm thinking about picking up a pair soon, I'll probably grab some sparco lumbar supports as well. Not too sure on how comfy these seats are in a car but I did sit in a pair at Group 5 and they feel pretty damn nice. I can't afford to get Evo 2's like I want but FX1s will do.

    Thanks,

I considered them, but wasn't super impressed by their quality.

If you look around, you can find a good deal on real race seats locally. I bought a pair of used Recaro Pole Positions (FIA approved) complete with aluminum side mounts for about the same money as a pair of new Corbeau FX1's would have cost. There are plenty of deals out there on CL and various forums.

I had a set of fx1 pros in my E36 M3 LTW rep car and they were pretty comfy but had a ton of lateral flex, decent for street but a big no no on a track. Skip them and buy some pole positions or Evo's IMO

Why not get some nice sport seats if it's for the street?

good choice, Evos are much more comfortable. What are you doing with your old NRGs?

good choice on the evo2. i've had them in my track cars for a few years when I was driving back/forth to the track and even on 4+ hr drives they felt great. just swapped an evo2 out for a head restraint OMP seat.

LOL, everyone that has recaros or sparcos and has sat in my fx1 pros says that they (fx1s) are more comfortable than whatever they have. I take 10 hour trips down to cali, sometimes i even take a quick nap, in the seat.

As far as flex I mounted mine straight to the floor using sparco side mounts. I used one mount made for the left seat and one mount made for the right seat for each seat. this allowed me to offset the seats to the center so the drivers seat is better aligned with the steering wheel. And I have noticed no flex with this setup.

I think corbeau has wised up on these gems because when i bought them they were 250 shipped each

Hmm, well how tall are you? I felt as if the FX1 didn't hug me enough, it wasn't sitting my deep down enough. The Evo 2 was a pretty nice fit...

I bought a usd fx1 and sold it immediately. Theres no contour on the ass, just flat fiberglass with a thin little pad.
