under dash panel. airbag vs no airbag

I've got a car that originally had airbags but I want to run the non airbag underdash as the huge knee pad is insane looking. Is that possible? I bought one that is for a non airbag and it seems a bit too short to meet the mounting spots on my car.

i have a non airbag dash in my car and the only problem i had was i couldnt reuse the old screws had to get new ones but aside from that everything else was plug and play
