    Rear seatbelt rocket science

I'm new here and just bought this 86' 325e off a guy it had no rear seatbelts when i got it he said they just had to be put in, well I've been screwing around with it for 2 days and still can't figure it out. I couldn't find a post that really covered this so here's a million photos hope you guys have some helpful input on how the hell these things are put in!

Im having trouble recollecting this, but I had to do this and it was really simple. Then again I had just pulled them out of my parts car. Maybe try realoem.com

yeah I tried realoem.com and still couldn't quite figure it out I don't understand what that cone on the top is and why the holes in the rear dash or whatever you call it are vertical and it seems like they should be horizontal

There were two styles of rear belts, the early ones I believe mount UNDER the rear shelf and c-pillar with a bolt.

the far right seatbelt is a front seat belt, the other 2 are for a late model car. You need to find early model belts. They have a metal ring on them that bolts to the C-Pillar. Also, if your current belts fit into the receivers you will have to find some early model receivers as well.

Those seat belts bolt onto the back underneath the rear shelf and match up with the tabs, do seat belt holders on new models bolt back under the rear shelf? could I just get a different rear shelf and use these?

ive never tried retrofitting late model back seat belts... in theory is should work if you get a late model parcel shelf
