Anyone have this windshield wiper stalk?

Just took a look at my parts car wiper stalk, and it's got an "S" on the top with an inward pointing arrow. It pushes inwards like the "remote OBC" lever for the turn signals.

Anyone have any idea what this is for? The car is completely apart, so I can't test it out. It's not spray either - it still has the washer function labeled as pulling the lever towards you.

Well maybe, but I was under the impression those operated when you used the regular washers. And this car is definitlely american market - I have the original sales slip for it.

I WILL BUY IT FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!
It's for the Intensive wash function, Beside the normal washer resivor there should be a seperate tank with it's own pump. The dealer sells Intensive fluid that goes into the tank and helps to get bugs and other stuff off the windshield. When you press that button that aux pump kicks in. My 1981 633csi has this function, and it's a dealer option. Sounds like to me some one just stuck that lever in there and not the rest of the system.
I'm adding headlight wipers, and am wanting to also add this function to my e30.

Huh. Well darn, I hadn't ever seen this or heard of it. I'll have to check and see if there's an extra tank as you say. Got any pics? I don't recall anything looking out of place.

Ditto Ely; It's for the intensive wash. Kind of an oddball option usually found on later 6 and 7 series cars. Pretty rare on E30s.

You May have just one tank, but with 2 pumps. MY 81 633csi has a seperate tank mounted up by the blower, and has a sticker on the top that Says Intensive fluid only. I would buy this stalk brand new but even at with my prices it's expensive. A lot of the Euro guys have the Intensive washer on there e30 but I haven't heard of any U.S. guys with it.

My offer still stands if you are willing to sell, if not I completly understand as it is a rare item.
