I have a few small nicks in the vinyl door cards of my convertible. None of them are bigger than 5 sq mm, so pretty small. Anyone have experience with repair kits for this kind of problem? A quick search on Amazon reveals a half-dozen or so different brands, all with very mixed reviews.

Most of what is out there is garbage and doesn't really work. Sadly, there isn't much you can do. The best thing to prevent them from getting bigger would be to stitch the cuts closed, but this doesn't look the greatest and can perforate the vinyl and cause it to rip even more. -
I know it can be done, there's a guy that stops by the dealership I work at occasionally that does stuff like this, and it always comes out looking pretty good. I asked him once what he uses, and he didn't want to share...trade secret I guess.1991 318iS
