Good source for interior cloth material?

Ive got this cool set of Scheel seats with E30 brackets. They are tan with leather/pleather (not sure) bolsters and fabric centers, which are dryrotted and torn.

    My plan is to:

1- Re-dye the bolsters to match my grey interior (1990 325.. not sure of the exact name of the color)

Can biege be re-dyed properly to a grey color?

2- Find close matching cloth material and copy the old material in the centers. I think I can do a decent sewing job, its not that hard and I have access to a sewing machine. I've had alot of seats apart and Its not to bad, just a bunch of hogrings.

Greiner-scheel wants like 300 bucks for both the center portions, which isnt toooo bad but they are in germany and I have to pick up the package at JFK airport if I order them. Kinda lame.

Try a local upholstery shop. You definitely want to get cloth made for auto use though as it needs to be able to withstand UV rays and stuff. Might consider having a shop do the recovering as well. Wouldn't be much if you are just getting the centers replaced. Pull it all apart and take it in for a quote.

Beige will dye fairly well. SEM makes a good spray dye although nothing beats reupholstering them in my opinion.

If you are looking for fabric from Recaro, Bride, Sparco, Corbeau, Status Racing, etc we stock many of they're upholstery materials and have access to many more. I can get you more information if you are interested
