Gauge cluster piece.

When I bought my 88 e30 the piece under my gauge cluster wasn't in place. I can't figure out how to get it in place. Can someone please help me?

remove steering wheel, and column trim...

there are 2 silver burl nuts that hold said piece in.

it slips right in with wheel, and column trim removed. and you can also be careful and force it in without any damage.
