The rear panels in my vert are a bit torn up. I will be installing new leather later this summer along with a dash and few other interior item. I would love to get these recovered or replaced with nearly new ones when I do the rest of the interior. Has anyone done this or had it done. How hard of a DIY is it and how much would it cost?
Anyone recover their rear vinyl panels?

its not dificult, all you need is a staple gun and some type of spray adheasive, i would also use some type of thin foam as a backing, if your going with leather, it could get a little expensive, but the synthetics are cheap. ill post up some pic of the ones i recovered when i can get out to the garage.Proud Owner and Operator.

Luke (StereoInstaller1) swears by this stuff:

You can buy it at Lowe's/Home Depot. He uses a cheap Harbor Freight spray gun to spray it.
I also recommend going with vinyl in stead of leather. Much easier to work with and holds up a lot better to the heat/moisture that is in a car, especially a vert. But if you are going leather on the front door panels, I guess just match what you use there.Comment

my door panels are good. I am redoing my leather seats and wanted to do the panels while the rear seat was out. I just want to redo the rear vert panels in vinyl due to mine being beat up. Any idea where to get the vinyl or the type to use? Also is a heat gun needed? Any write ups?
