Looking for insight on differences in the RK2 / RK3 knobs

I used the search function, and found pics of both, but nothing that defines the differences between them. I looked on UUC's site and didnt find much as far as the dimensions or anything. The only thing I can tell is that the RK3 can be set up for illumination? They look very simular in the pics as far as height is concerned.

Is one heavier than the other? Or made better? The RK3 is $10 more than the RK2... but is also on backorder through UUC. I received a bit of cash for xmas and part has gone to an amp/sub, and the left-over is going towards a shift knob, so I am trying to figure out which is best.

Width: 2inches
Weight: Brushed and Polished aluminum is 7.1oz. Stainless steel is 20.4oz. Titanium is 11.7 oz.

RK3
Height: 3inches
Width: 2inches
Weight: Brushed and Polished aluminum is 7.5oz. Stainless steel is 22.2oz.

I love my RK3, and especially the illumination, it looks really trick at night. Between the equal material knobs, I would presume there wont be much difference in feel. The one thing that pisses me off about the RK3 is that it is not snap on fit, it uses an allen bolt to tight. Just a little thing, and actually good cause i've got a really low shifter and I can raise the knob a bit. But just a fyi

I purchased the RK2 with the mind set of getting a good looking knob. Little did I know how much it would enhance the driving experience. I love it. It feels great. I am sure any of the UUC knobs would feel just as good.

Wow... I didnt see any of this information. Thanks for posting that. I was at work and didnt look as well as I probably could have.

Rob & Aaron, thanks for sharing, I have decided on the 2, but which one I will end up buying, I dont know yet
