Alpina seat fabric @ source?

The fabric is NLA. I can reproduce it if there's enough interest. (Without the backing foam).

What would be the minimum requirement to reproduce the fabric? I'm defenetly interested on it if the price doesn't skyrocket!

Ok guys no bullshit here, I got some cloth left but its not for sale. I'm thinking the next project (2002) might get it based on the color I'll paint the car. I sourced the cloth from Alpina through a friend that lives in Germany (sold some to Kevin C.). I believe kevin even bought more from them until they ran out. My friend call them a few months ago (Kevin email me to see if I had anything left for sale) and was told that there were no plans to make it again. Next time i go home (Peru) I'll take a sample and talk to a good friend of mine (college) who owns a medium textile mill and can make anything pretty much.

Well, I do have some friends that run textile shops (big ones), so if you are able to send me a small (but enough large) sample , maybe one of them can reproduce it? One of my best customers have a textile shop and I asked him once, if he could reproduce the houndstooth fabric for my M3 and he said no problem, but I never did it because I changed my plans for the interior and went other route.

The Alcantara used, from where did you source it? I got Alcantara for my M3 seats as well with repro M cloth.

I wish I could source a little sample to try make a replica for it, should be cheap in my country to do that, the material and labor is cheap down here for that is my guess.

Hey Diego. Thanks for the compliment on the seats. I've been very happy with how they turned out. Unfortunately I don't have any remnant material from the build since these were part of a GB a few years back. A guy in Germany made them. The fabric is original Alpina & the seats are supposedly recovered from a wrecked Sport Evo. As far as the Alcantara part they have held up well also. From what I hear the real Alcantara material actually has Alcantara printed on the backside, is this true?

My Alcantara didn't say anything on the back, but t's real Alcantara, sourced it from a well known website that sells these fabrics, I think it's Italy , not sure, but it's for the automotive and specially designed for seats, so it should last long.

Do you happen to have the email from this dude located in Germany? Perhaps he could make a new small production or perhpas a GB as well. So this is a repro that made this guy...interesting.

LOL. Sorry to confuse you 'mano. The GB was for the seats. Other people ordered different colors & material (like my second set of seats in the link). But I specifically ordered my seats with Original Alpina centers. He then ordered the fabric directly from Alpina. So no repro. Sorry again.
