airbag dash to non-airbag dash swap help

I swapped in a dash from a non airbag car the other day and everything went fine until it came time to re-attach the knee bolster. The non-airbag dash uses plastic clips and my knee bolster uses screws. I'm sure someone's encountered this problem before and could help me with a solution.

I did this swap myself and the only problem I found was that I had to take the rivets out of that metal piece on the left from my old dash and screw them into the corresponding piece on the non-airbag dash. pictures would be helpful

I already tossed my old dash not even thinking about that.

What did you end up doing to solve this? I just did the same thing and I'm stopped at the knee bolster step. I'm thinking of just using velcro.
