Good Score on the momo, completely forgot about them. If you want any sort of Recaros lmk, i have a dealer account for them and also a huge stock of used seats.

two weeks of searching "recaro" on searchtempest got me the seats lol.

and they were damn comfy and supportive.

you can have comfort from a race seat. all these kids think its cool to have buckets in their cars or fixed back race seats that are out of cert.
its not, its gay, you do not own a race car.

OP- search search search, you will find a good deal on something.
I have been searching out the ass, they are already sold or posted 2-3years ago. Also what do you know about racing? I am a roll cage, fuel cell and engine kill switch away from being track prepped.

You have no idea what you are talking about, know how I know the rules? I am a safety and grid worker for Watkins Glen speedway. I WILL be racing so that is why it is important for me to have a FIA approved seat :loco:

@thread viewers, I have scored a MOMO fixed back FIA approved seat for track events. For daily driving I am getting a pair of brand new Recaro Speed seats. Ordering them next month:

WTF? Dude, plenty of people use their cars, such as I for track and auto-x. Figures a kid who doesn't know how to heel- toe wouldn't understand the reasoning.

I am trying to find Recaros, the only reason I posted Bride was because I thought they were a cheaper option. Turns out the ones i found were fakes. Real ones cost almost the same aas Recaros. So I am going to hold out for now for real ones.

My only problem is this car is my daily. I am just making is over board race prepped for SCCA and events at The Glen when I can afford 400 a weekend. So I was searching for a reclining seat to be more suited for travel and such. I know this sounds dumb etc.

I did find a fixed back I am in love with...Status in black or Recaro Pole postion. I have sat in the latter and it is SO nice =)

Said seat, it is not FIA approved...is that bad?

Personally i would suggest OMP's - For those that dont know bride started out ripping off recaros, their fabric is shit, build quality is shit, and arent even fia rated. We do general upholstery but specialize in older recaros and honestly im not even a fan of recaros new seats quality wise. I have had a few sets of brides here and can tell you that you might as well spend your money on cheap ebay knock off seats if you are just going for cool look scene points. Check these out..

Also found these, cheaper by 500 because not made of CF. But I will not notice the little gain with fiberglass.

You say you will be able to tell the difference between a fiberglass and a carbon seat. Stock STi seats are heavy, why do you want them if you seem to be keen on weight savings?
I looked at their seats and then looked up specs. They are no longer on the list, but I am still thinking more people on the subie forum would have recaros than here. Here is to hoping...

I bought a bride the ergoII I beleive. I actualy enjoyed the seat. Though they are for thinner people. I wear a 34 waist and I had to break in the seat a lil bit. So my hips were sore for the first few while. I like the recaros I havea friend that has this seat and they are not bad http://store.vacmotorsports.com/reca...eat-p2449.aspx
The Bride had larger bolsters and suports better though. The thing with the bride is they are wide and they are a bottom mount seat well mine is. Not sure about the gias. So I had to get creative with mounting it.
