I am thinking about buying a vert and idk why I feel like I read somewhere that the seats don't go back as far in verts. Is this true? I have the seat all the way back in my coupe and can't afford to lose any room.
Convertible Seats?

The seats slide back the same. The vert seats do not recline as far as the coupe seats.

yea those are sport seats. they stitching is the same as the m3 but they arent the same seat. the fronts dont recline much and dont go as low as the coupe seats (from my memory of my old iS's). the back seats are vert specific but the fronts can be swapped with hardtop seats. a lot of people will put the iS sport seats in because theyre too cheap to reupholster or too lazy/impatient to look for proper vert seats.

The vert seats can me modified to recline further back. There is a "limiter" inside the hinge mechanism that you can remove.
And NO the vert seats and M3 seats are not the same. Similar of course though.Comment

How are they different? I have M3 seats in my car and they seem to recline all the way, so is it just the "limiter" that makes them different? Skool me.Comment

verts have a low low-profile recline lever. M3 seats have the high one like normal coupe sport seats do.Comment

ok, now that explains why I feel funny sitting in my cabrio in comparison to sitting in my coupe. Yes I noticed the recline limiter is a black plastic plug which usually breaks or is easily enough to remove. It was put there because if the seats were to recline fully the handles on the sides upper seat rest would hit the rear inner panels.sigpicComment
