Looking for a good coupe seat...

Looking for ideas on good seats for my M6. Could go for OEM, but the price for used seats don't quite justify the means.

Found this seat that was pretty cool:

Any other possibilities... don't want to spend more than $600/seat and want to have matching driver/passenger seats.

Will only use stock seat belt (no harness as I'm not putting in a roll cage).

Also would like a seat I can get ass warmers in... thats a nice fall time feature.

What about Recaro SRDs? (The one's that were used in the EVO M3s). They're super comfortable and I believe are about $600 each for black cloth. Talk to Ted (uofom3), he has them in his M3.

With $600/seat it seems you have a pretty good budget. Have you considered having the original seats professionally re-upholstered? That's definitely cheaper than the $4K BMW wants for original replacement seats.

Most of the pics I have seen of re-upholstered seats, IMO, look like ass. I have yet to see one that I think looks well done. However, I am only going by like 640x480 pics. Plus I want to shed a few lbs, and I don't want the upteen power seat functions on the stock seats. Once I set the driver's seat to where I want it... it isn't moving:-)

Just a nice, comfortable manual seat. Cloth and/or leather will do... alcantara and suede is too much of a PITA to clean. Just something that won't make my back sweat, or get those little fuzz balls from 15k miles a year.

The ass warmers are more for my wife, who gets cold when it goes below 80. And I hate assymetry.

Over 50 years of providing the world with the best in aftermarket Street Seats, Racing Seats, Off Road Seats, Jeep Seats, Suspension seats, Seat Brackets, Harness Belts and more.

There's just two places to start looking for new seats. Although shopping online is so convenient, I really suggest finding the shop/retailer nearest to you with seats. I certainly wouldn't spend $1200 on seats I hadn't sat in before.

Agreed... purchase isn't going to be right away... I'll find a local store or one that is enroute on one of my travels.

Edit: Now these are some sexy ass seats!

I guess they re-released the SRD and it's now the 'Speed'. There was one for sale in the FS/WTB section if you want to check it out. They're about $550 new. I've sat in them and they're VERY comfortable.

If you are talking about IL DUCE he sold it already for $400...

That was a nice seat though...
