    SRS wheel SUCKS.....Want to swap in my M-Tech I I have.???

    I've search enought to know that you can swap out tthe SRS wheel for aftermarkets, momo, etc. What do I need to do to sawp in a M-tech I I have?? Add a couple washers?? What is different bout rmoving the SRS wheel from others? I have never pulled a Air Bag wheel before :oops:

    You'll need to make a 1 inch or so spacer out of washers or a piece of pipe and slide that on before you slide on your MTech 1 wheel. Then just tighten the wheel down with the nut and wham, done.

      Ok, sounds good
      now how bout removal of the air bag wheel?? what do I need to do? I dont want a airbag blowing up in my face :roll:

          As far as removing the air bag first disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes then reach under the steering column and there will be a small rectangular plastic cover. Remove the cover and there will be a small harness. Unplug the harness and then the airbag is disarmed.
          There are two torx screws on the back of the steering wheel that hold it on.

              About 1/4" of spacer is needed, 1/3" at most.

              Be sure the wheel is lined up straight before tightening down the 22mm
