    two tone interior

Well, I decided to go with Porsche tan and black for my e30 cabrio. Now that I got that installed I need to match it. Originally my interior was pearl beige. Well very well weathered and dirty pearl. So I scrapped that and went with this.. I finally got a close match on the vinyl paint and this is what I ended up with.

What dye did you use? I am looking to dye my recovered vinyl sport seats to match my door cards. I am looking for something really durable that will stand up to daily driver usage. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Im glad you painted the panels because that first shot was very disappointing. Some daylight shots? I think some black carpet would help the cause.

process is taking a bit longer then anticipated due to other work on the car. Once I have the passenger side panel together I'll post again. that is why I included to first pic to show the before and after. :-) I have a black carpet and decided to not go that route since it would have been just way to much work with the HVAC removal etc. I dyed the pearl carpet with desert tan duplicolor. I have wood trim going in as well along with my woodline bmw sport wheel. stay tuned.

as for the dye. I believe it's called Sure coat. it is for plastic and vinyl only. You can also get it for leather too. the "prep" is key and having an air gun would be advantageous. I used a gravity feed gun with a vert spray pattern and about 20psi.

actually it isn't black; more like anthracite plush not the coarse weave.
it has a couple of cuts. One at the hump behind the rear console before I removed it - was there. it could use a cleaning but it's a good carpet otherwise I wouldn't have pulled it.

How much would you want for it shipped to 78253 if you want to sell it?

Either way it is going to cost you in dye- about 10 cans to dye it, or, buying a used rug. but the installation is labor intensive and you best know what you're doing. :-) Also, to dye your seats are also labor intensive and you must know how to do it. this requires taking the seats apart prepping them thoroughly so the dye will adhere. Doing a fast or short cut job is going to cost you in a shitty looking result. the kit to dye seats from Leatherique costs about 150-200 in supplies and then labor. GL
