    Trunk Lock.

My e30 got rear ended and it messed up my trunk lock and I can't figure out how to pull the lock and the thing that holds the lock in place out. Can someone please give me some tips on how to get it out? Thank.

well the lock is probably toast..so I would drill the thing out - once in the trunk -remove the two 10mm bolts holding the assembly in. Replace it or rebuild it with a donner if you want to keep the same key. The other thing you can try is going in through the ski pass if your car has one. Remove it and get a long bar or extension and if you are really steady you can manage to push the plunger back out from the inside.

You need to find a crack addicted hobo ... you can have them crawl inside and open it. True story, it works: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=206134
