    armrest install

got a center armrest cup holder thingy and wondered if there was a writeup or if someone could jsut give me a breinf description of hoe things go... my only question really is the metal plate, does that go on the inside of the console, do I need to take the console out to do te install? and the diffrent washers should go where? any help would be nice and any imput on which way to have the cups faceing.. i was thinking foreward. also

it's pretty straightforward. pull the ashtray out, take off that nut, take off the ebrake boot (theres a metal frame you have to pull out) and remove the rear part of the console. You have to cut the carpet a little bit, and take off the nut to the left of the ebrake. put that metal adaptor in there, and tighten it down (this is where you have to cut the carpet to get it to fit flush). I usually cut a slit in the carpet.

then you just take the piece of console you just took off, drill the 4 holes and put that bracket on there, reinstall, and slide the armrest on.
In the picture it seems to imply you pull the cupholders out, toward the shift boot. That is too far forward. everyone I've seen do it puts it so the cupholders open toward the back

If I recall, yous hould get easy detailed instructions with the package
