e92 m3 steering wheel on e30?

I would use an old wheel hub since the E92 wheel looks shallowand flat... drill holes and rivet the old hub to the new wheel... but you will need to make a custom horn pad to fill in where the airbag and buttons go... I would love to get my hands on one of those wheels... and what is your idle issue??

Kinda of a dumb question, but have you tried fitting this on your e30 already? I'd like to know what needs to be modified to make it fit properly...

I'm actually surprised your mothers bf doesn't have to return that to bmw na. (assuming he works for parts department). Whenever a big ticket/cost item like those steering wheels gets warrantied bmw na expects the original part to be returned or the dealer gets audited.

im with you!! i bought my first tool set when my head gasket blew in 1987...i
was a kid and couldn't not afford a bmw mechanic...

koodoos to those that try and do it themselves....

what bugs me is all the haters who cant give a guy a break when he asks for help... that i think is major lame!!!

i have an extra wheel so if anyone wants it and are l;ooking to trade i need an oil pan, new wheels and tires, and a tune up or at least help me figure out whats causing my weird idle and help me fix it... im open to straigh up trades so let me know. pm me or call me 818 3 0 7 3545

beanerg (love that screenname!), Stuck, over on e30tech did this on his e30. I'd love to see this done, even after all the haters have had their say. I'm thinking you would need the associated steering column or have the splines machined to match the e30.

Either option involves a load of work (obviously), but I think that it would be a cool project. I wanna see this done!
