    ZHP shift knob install?

I did a search cant find anything.

I bought a zhp shift knob and removed the current one on my e30. I put the zhp shift knob and it still twists. How do I make it so that it will not twist?

Put a piece of chewing gum on the end of the shifter, put on the ZHP knob, and let it dry. That way it will hold but won't be stuck like super glue would.

to get the new one to sit properly you MUST hit yourself in the head with the old one while pulling it off, it's like the right of passage for e30 owners.

i agree with DrJosh, i found that chewing gum worked the best. its the perfect amount of stickiness, so that its easy to take off when need be.

Are u sure the internals of shift knob are not broken? It should go on into slots, just push down firmly.

Make sure you have it lined up properly, then press it down onto the shift lever until it snaps into position.

                              Or sit on it.
