    Heated Seat Removal/Retrofit

    Hi all;

    I've got a local junkyard with a heated seat E30. How would one go about removing the heater coils without damaging them? Where are they attached, to the bottom of the seat? Also to the back?

    I've got the harness out, but don't want to damage the elements.

    (I found an article about this on bimmerforums but the photos were all dead)

    You can just pull the elements out from in between the leather pieces. They may be a little caked together but they aren't glued or anything...iirc.

      They're in cloth comfort seats. Am I coming at them from the bottom or the top?
