    Glove box handle

I've destroyed my second glove box handle, guess they weren't really designed to opened from the drivers side very often. Does anyone know if you can simply get another handle and snap it in? Also, any suggestions on where to get one?

    thanks,
    RH

The handles screw into the glove box. I've got a handle for sale. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply, but I think the last time it was changed someone put in a different model's glove box door/handle. The current one doesn't look like this one which is the standard one for my model http://www.bmpdesign.com/product-exe...earch_model/31

The one I have now, the handle/lock just dropped out and it looks like a new one can just snap in. On the door there is a metal piece on each side (with a hole) and it looks like you could put a new handle in kind of like putting the spring loaded toliet paper holder in. Does anyone know what e30 that's from?

      Thanks.

Apparently my glove box door/handle is from another model. Does anyone know what model this door & handle (picture attached) are from?

        Thanks.

The latch you pictured is the normal latch that came in all e30s. I can have a latch, like the one pictued above, sent to you for $15 shipped. PM me

also, you can remove the lock from your old latch, and put it into the new latch, so your key will still work with the new glovebox latch.

So you guys are saying the one pictured above is the same as this one listed for a '91 318is from bmp?

I'm just curious because I sent bmp the pictures too and they just said they only carry one and it doesn't appear to be the same as the I sent them a picture of.

But erik you're saying you have one like mine, with pins facing the side and a spring on one side? The current one doesn't fit my key so I'm not concerned with changing the lock out. You're in SJ, can you PM me where you are?

              Thanks.
