Tip for those trying to clean you dirty tan door panels

Use a magic eraser. It worked wonders on my dirty, scuffed, stained door panels and map pockets. They look brand new now!

      no no no no no

i detailed cars last summer at lexus, seen way way too many people destroy good quality interiors with magic erasers. yes it works, but you have to be extremely careful, it can eat through anything from leather, fabric, to vinyl. i saw someone use it to get tar off a bumper, scrathed up the paint, they had to pay for it to get a respray.

best product for interiors is something called magnum3000. we used it on everything from leather seats, plastic trim pieces, steering wheels, and alloy trim.

edit: if you have hazed up headlights, foglights, or similar item. a magic eraser will clear those up in seconds, done that many times for friends.

seriously, if you have no experience with a magic eraser, you can do more damage than good, it WILL eat away at whatever it touches.

as long as you do it softly it will work. Just have to use common sense.

Agreed. As long as you aren't concentrating on one area for a long period of time you'll be fine..

It really worked well for me, and didn't eat through any of the vinyl. I'd suggest giving it a try, perhaps in a inconspicuous area first, if your worried it will damage your interior. The vinyl in our cars seems to be pretty durable.

Los awesome from dollar store. Dilute or regular strength depending on cleaning. After cleaning wipe with armor all etc.

While this is true, I feel like it should be okay on the vinyl door cards. I've never used a magic eraser on leather (it's basically super fine sandpaper) and never will, but it's perfectly fine for the plastic kick areas of newer cars' door cards.

Just remember-you're sanding your vinyl clean. Keep that in mind and it should be fine. However, a toothbrush and other cleaner (Meg's APC+ dilute like 10:1) should work just as fine.

Magic Eraser works but I agree can damage stuff easily. Try a small spot first. And if anyone died the seats in the past it will take that stuff off in a second seems like.
