    1991 318i questions

I bought a 1991 318i last weekend. I'm trying to fix some interior
issues, and have a few questions (I hate working on car interiors).

    Here are my questions...

    Door Card Fasteners:
Is there a good source and a certain kind (Like from the "Help!"
section of Autozone)? How do you replace them - it looks like
I will have to peel back the vinyl skin to R&R the door panel
fasteners and then glue it back in place... or is there a way
to pull them through (e.g. make a slit in the hard panel to
work them through from the back)?

    Dome lights:
How do I remove the dome lights? Do they just pop out by prying,
or is there a srew or a clip/latch/tab which has to be depressed
    hidden somewhere?

    Dash fascia around CD player:
How do I remove it if I can't do the work through the slot the
CD player slides into? On my 1970 VW it was all accessible from
area forward of the "firewall" (Trunk area - Engine bay on front
engine car). I assume it's all done by removing the dashboard
fascia if it can't be done through the radio opening... or is
it done from underneath (laying on your back - oh boy, what fun).

Kick panels with the front speakers:
How do I remove them to replace the front speakers.

    Glove Box:
The handle i broken (most of it is gone) There is a small metal tab
sticking down, and not much else. How do I open the glove box?
I tried moving the metal tab with pliers... to no avail.

I wish simple cars just used visible screws to hold the interior
together. I don't need smooth surfaces held together by magic...
My mustang was the epitome of interior design - all of the interior
was put together with hidden fasteners and had to be pried apart...
but they molded imitation allen head bolts into the dash face to
give it the look of a race car designed to be functional rather
    than pretty. Ugh.

Is the Bentley manual a Schucks/O'reilly/ Autozone item, or do I need
      to order one online?

BTW, what is a good source for the Roundels (front & rear)?

I'm experiencing plenty of the bipolar emotions already. I've had the
car about 5 days now... Here is the thread.

Is it safe to assume it covers 1991 even though the cover only shows through 1990? I know most of it may be the same, but it'd be nice if it does include 1991, or if there is a Bentley manual that does cover '91 E30s

I got a Chilton's with the car, and it is not very useful... mostly it covers E36.

it covers everything but the engine....you need the e36 bently for the engine.....i've done a ton of shit to my 318iS, PM any questions you have, chances are I've tackled it (aside from rebuiling engine/tranny)

              Thanks!
For now... how do I get the dome lights out, and the dash fascia around the stereo off?

the dome lights you'll see a little metal clip, just squeeze it and they should pop out. the fascia has a couple of little screws. take out the blanks and the hazard switch, defrost and peer up there and u can see them.

The dash fascia has two tiny hidden screws above and behind the buttons for fader/hazard at the top of the panel. They are threaded diagonally. Pop the buttons out and look up inside the openings...tough to describe but you'll see once your in there.

The other two are under the heater controls. Take a small mirror and point it up while holding it in the pocket/recess in front of the ashtray. They're at the outer portion of the recess. You can feel them with your fingers if you don't have a mirror.

Thanks - that is going to save me a lot of grief.
