    Zoom-zoom-zooming upholstery kits?

I know there gabber been some negative posts about this Ebay seller's "refurbished"sport seats. But does anyone have experience with their upholstery kits? They're vinyl, but they're only $350 speed for the front seats.

I'm in the process of converting a beater into a nice dd for as cheaply as possible, so please nobody tell me to use Kevin Chinn. I know his stuff is great, but his cheapest vinyl kit is almost $250 more than this. So, if anyone has experiences to share with this Ebay set, or even better , pics, I'd love to hear/see.

    Thanks

I found a mint passenger seat for like $150 and moved the foam and vinyl to a driver's seat. Looked perfect OEM.

    Just another route to consider.

I am not saying you have to use Kevin Chinn but I think you have his prices confused. He charges $425 for the fronts which is only $75 more than the ebay version not $250. His full interior kit including front and rear seats is $600. I have seen his work and I have bought a custom interior from him myself. It is worth it! Once again I am not telling you to buy from him but just wanted to fix the incorrect assumption on pricing.

        Carry on!

^ thanks for the info on creative options. Ive seen that his vinyl kit is 575, thought it was for fronts only. Gotta say, though, I'm liking the guy in palmdale. Wonder if he ships...

Contacted that guy from the craigslist ad. Haven't heard back from him. Don't know if he only works local and doesn't want to hassle with shipping, or what. I'll let people know if I ever get in touch with him what his deal is. I was asking him whether he worked in leather or vinyl and what colors he made kits in.

Spoke with the guy - name is Patrick. He does kits in auto or marine grade vinyl, depending on the color. Doesn't work in leather. He has sourced some that's very close to cardinal red and will do fronts and rears for $340. I think I'm going to go for it, but I might get a quote from Kevin first.

Any updates on this? I'd be interested in this guy if he could do a ski pass through back seat. I'm not making a show car here so super high quality isn't an issue.

He's got the vinyl on order. Did the rear seat with what he had available, ABCs he's going to send me pics. Once he does I'll post them here. I'll do a thread once I get them and show what they look like installed
