    Momo horn button install

    Yep, searched. Found nothing.

Have a momo champion, and momo hub.
Took oem wheel off and horn wires are built into wheel, there is a pin on the oem hub.

How do I make this work?

When I installed my wheel i never had to modify any wires. Just put the wheel on and attach the horn button to the wheel via the two wires and put the horn button in place

Run ground lead from horn button to one of the bolts that hold the wheel to the hub adapter.

Metal ring around horn button to make constant contact with hub adapter.

              Done.

Hell no, I don't get it. But it works. :-)

I had a sport steering wheel in my vert...all wires where built in, nothing to detach from the oem hub.

on my momo hub, I have the 1 ground and a positive lead

                  but knowhere to attach them.

the suggestion that 110STX mentioned sounds like the most feasable one, I'll give it a shot tonight.

                  thanks guys

i bought a new momo race wheel and new hub...took my old mtech off. connected the horn button to the metal ring that goes in between then wheel and the hub. there is another tab on the metal ring which accepts the wire from the horn.

The horn works by grounding the wire that comes from the spring loaded pin in the hub.

The steering wheel and steering column are grounded to the chassis.

The momo horn switch is a simple momentary push button switch.

The wire from the spring loaded pin (12v positive) goes on one terminal on the back of the horn button.

The other terminal on the back of the horn button needs a wire going from itself to somewhere on a metal part of the steering wheel or hub (ground).

yay just what i need to know! using momo wheel w/ sparco hub

i'm using a sparco hub that only had the positive, but no ground.

so i made a ground wire from the momo horn button to wheel bolts
