Poll: Alcantara, Leather, or both on my Vaders?

Sooo... here is the deal: my mom offered to buy me new covering for my interior as a christmas present. I'll have to pay to have the work done, thats the cheap(ish) part.

I can get dark grey alcantara for $50/meter (about 16 square feet)

I can get black leather for $130/hide (about 50 square feet)

They're roughly the same price (leather is $20 cheaper)

I don't know what cost has anything to with anything, I guess I'm just trying to illustrate that I'm not talking smack, and Alcantara isn't much more expensive than leather.

That being said: I drive a cabrio, with vaders. What do you think would look best?

    Pure Alcantara
    Pure Leather
    Leather Bolsters & Alcantara Centers
Chip in some of my own money and get Mtech fabric ($110 for 15 square feet) and have Alcantara bolsters with that?

I'm torn between 100% Alcantara and the Leather bolster idea.

    What do you think?

There is cheap suede and expensive suede. If you go with the cheap shit, it might last a year, might. Expensive stuff will last longer, but you should tint your windows that it doesn't fade/change colors.

As for the leather, I would probably go with ultra leather. No imprefections, really soft, lasts for along time and smells go too! And they are about the same price.

The combo is your choice, but atleast do it right.

I think the alcantara centers with the leather bolsters would be hot!

If you're going to do a combo, do the bolsters in alcantara since they'll create much more friction with your clothing and hold you in better.

MTech centers with alcantra bolsters would be very sweet

I'd be afraid to sit on it [and afraid of how long it will actually stay looking nice]

I don't care what grade alcantara they sell you - it will still wear out - maybe not as soon, but it will wear out. And in a drop top - it will happen faster from the sun exposure.
