Just how rare is this part?

I haven't seen many people with these, and I just picked up a set. How rare are these?

You can still buy them through BMW and other places, but I guess you can say they are rare since not a lot of people have them. How much did you pay is the question.

I really like how they look on your car. Nice touch.

Despite what that site might say, these show NLA from my local dealer. They can't get them.

            They are wrong.
            They are not NLA.
            Your local dealer sucks. ;)

Not super rare, and somewhat tacky IMO.

Ah, very nice. I've wanted a set of those for a long time. Since I've got the ///M color stitched boots, I think they would be a nice addition to my interior, along with the M-Tech II wheel. Where did you pick them up? I see them on ebay from time to time.

The ///M3 sidesills look a whole lot better, the BMWMTechnic one is busy looking imo.

It would be sweet if someone made blank, logo-less door sills.

                    Either way, nice find.

since his car is not an M3, I think the regular M-technik sills are more fitting. And I would think maybe rarer than M3 sidesills?

I wouldn't mind getting a set of the AC Schnitzer ones that are on ebay all the time.

These are for an X5, but they have them for E30's, too.

                            lol

could somebody please explain "busy." What's so flippin busy about it?

Do you guys major in interior design or something? It's becoming aggravating when people throw out these kinds of words as if they have some kind of perceptual authority, in all areas of e30 design.

just had to let that out. sorry

                              bus·y
                              adj. bus·i·er, bus·i·est
                              1. Engaged in activity, as work; occupied.
                              2. Sustaining much activity: a busy morning; a busy street.
                              3. Meddlesome; prying.
                              4. Being in use, as a telephone line.
                              5. Cluttered with detail to the point of being distracting: a busy design.
                              Obviously very subjective.
Sorry. Didn't know 'busy' was such a complicated term.
