I have an extra momo hub for an e30. I will trade you that for your '02.

I bought this hub and it barely wants to slide onto the steering spline.
Is this because I have an airbag car ?

Excuse me for bumping an old thread.

Splines are the same airbag and non airbag, the difference is a depth one. Sounds like poorly broached spines in the hub.

There is not much to give in the OE steering wheel anyways. I think the crush zone is at the steering column. I have both the momo and the ebay hub. The momo definitely fit better and much lighter. The ebay hub fitment is kinda sucks. It is so tight I can't even take it out now.

I bought one, and the textured paint on the outside was oversprayed all over the splines inside and clogging a bunch of them so I didn't even attempt to put it on. I got my money back and ordered a momo.

Just chiming in because I'm judging my past self for starting this thread a few years ago. It's painful to read, sorry for being such a fuckboi guys.

Skip the eBay crap and go for a MOMO.
