yeah but what about the wire thats suppoded to go to the horn button? I can't find a way (short of drilling a hole in the hub) to get the wire the go inside the hub somewhere. I am using the wire that was for the srs and horn button (obv. just the horn wire though ;) ) And if you do run the wire for the horn button outside you can't do a u-turn b/c the wire would have to be REALLY lng and stick out REALLY far from the hub. any ideas?!?!///Alpinweiß II 24v 91' 318is, Alpinweiß III 99' 323i, 04' Yamaha R6 SE for sale, 00' VW GTi, 83' El Camino BURNED, 01' P71sold, 92' Miatasold

There should be 2 places on the horn button for wiring. One is from the steering rack, the other a loose wire that you run to a ground. The horn button should have 2 male connectors. One of these is for the wire that comes from the steering rack. The other should be connected to a loose wire and grounded - by doing so, when the horn button is pressed, you are creating a ground - when not pressed, the wire from the steering rack isn't going anywhere except the horn button.
All of this can be done from within the column. Maybe your horn button doesn't have 2 connectors?Driving is the only way to go faster....

maybe thats my prob....I bought a momo millenium and the horn button only has one wire in the back of it. So is that one wire on the button a ground not a power?? The momo hub came w/ a ground ring but apparently that doesn't work.///Alpinweiß II 24v 91' 318is, Alpinweiß III 99' 323i, 04' Yamaha R6 SE for sale, 00' VW GTi, 83' El Camino BURNED, 01' P71sold, 92' Miatasold

If there is only one connector on the horn button, than when its depressed, it must make contact somehow to the grounding ring. Run a wire from the grounding ring to a ground somewhere else in the steering rack and see if that works. Otherwise I'm not sure I can help you since I'm unfamiliar with the electrical connections in the steering wheel you have. There should be one connector to the button, and one from the button that goes somewhere else. It sounds like when you press the button, there is a connection made to the grounding ring somehow. Is there anyway for you to check that?Driving is the only way to go faster....

Welp I got the wheel firm finally....It just needed a freakin 2' long breaker bar to do the trick...I haven't had time to try the horn wiring again b/c its dark right now ;)///Alpinweiß II 24v 91' 318is, Alpinweiß III 99' 323i, 04' Yamaha R6 SE for sale, 00' VW GTi, 83' El Camino BURNED, 01' P71sold, 92' Miatasold
