More lock problems...

Ever since I bought the car, the rear passenger door lock never properly worked. It doesn't react to the central locking and the pin only goes down part of the way. It does lock/unlock if I pull or push on the pin, so it doesn't appear to be fully broken, but something is definitely wrong. What's the best way to pull the whole lock out? I'm having a hard time even looking at the mechanism. Tricks and tips are much appreciated!

I do not know for sure, But i would start with taking the door card off and take a look. My locking system is a little funky too, i plan on doing a keyless entry to make it so i wont use my key as much and hopefully have the locking system last longer.
