    Sunroof help please

    How do I get my sunroof to open if the crank setup does not work I think it might have a broken cable its non powered setup it is also stuck in the closed postion

      I had a similar issue. except mine would only open slightly on one side. I would see if you can take the crank assembly off and free it from the cables. then you should be able to manually open the roof (pry it back). Then you can go from there. perhaps you just need a new crank mechanism? "coil"

          start taking things apart.

          I would just start taking things apart.

          the crank assembly is the flimsey piece of crap... its a piece of plastic wrap around a metal... I don't expect those thing to last more than 1 year or two under constant use.

          - check crank assembly, then check the two rod inside the sunroof. But in order to do that you ahve to manually yank it open first. So crank assembly first.
