I have a 330mm with no power steering (3.2 e36 rack going on soon). It doesn't block any gauges because I have my seat pretty low (bottom, not the back). I'm about 5'9" so pretty average I'd say. Oh and I love this diameter. It's small enough that its nice and sporty but not annoyingly small.

I run a MOMO MonteCarlo 350mm in a non-power steering model. I also have a 15mm steering wheel spacer installed because even with the smaller wheel I kept smacking my knees mid corner unless I put my seat too far back for my arms to be at a comfortable driving position. I've tried a large diameter MT1 and small diameter MT2 and for me the MOMO is the most comfortable wheel. It does block my turn signals and some of my gauge tops but I can still figure out the speed/rpm, and I always manually cancel my signals so it's not a big deal. I'm 6'3 by the way, and drive with my backrest almost upright with arms set that my wrist is perfectly lined up with the top of the steering wheel.1990 332i, 4 door

This happened to me as well. Even the 365's blocked the top of my speedo. So I went hunting for a bigger aftermarket and ended up with a Volanti Luisi griffon.
Unfortunately, based on different hubs / adapters / seats / etc you can never be positive about you view through the wheel till you actually mount it. I went through three or four wheels before I compromised with what was actually visible for me and met my aesthetic requirements. I may change again at some point, but this is what is in the car now.
It's vinyl, which was a compromise (they also have leather versions), but it is a bargain at $90
15" works great, and if my math is close, that works out to about 375. Oddly that 10mm bump looks like inches of space when installed. I can see everything now. Again, between dish, your hub, if you need an adapter (i needed luisi->momo), etc. Just gotta try them out.
Good thing is that most steering wheels retain most of their value, so you can buy and try.Comment

Just picked up a Monte Carlo 350mm with blue stitching and horn button gently used for $169 instead of $230 new. Pretty pumped!!
