    Dying cardinal seats

Is it possible? How will they look? They are vert seats and faded and somewhat cracking... But no rips

Leatherique would be the best solution for you but if you don't want to spend that kind of money, get this.

Then find the SEM color coat that matches your interior the best and voila.

Does that stuff fill the cracks? It says it fixes cuts too so how does that work? Also where can I get dye to match my interior color code?

it does fill cuts and cracks. Its like a very flexible "bond" for leather and vinyl.

If you want to match the color exactly, you should check out http://www.leatherique.com/oem-color-samples/bmw.html

They carry all the oem bmw colors. Its not cheap though but the quality is high. You can also find a color very close to yours through SEM.

What can I do about seam separation? Also can't seem to navigate that website very well, might be because I'm on an iPad, but how much is the dye, and does it work on panels too?

No, 87 would most likely have cardinal.

About seam separation, get a half moon needle and some heavy duty thread and sew it up. Shouldn't be too hard.

Not sure how much they charge for just their dye but we got a renewal kit for my buddies e36 and it was around 240$. That includes leather softener, cleaner, prep kit And the dye.

Have you done it? How long does it take to do front and back seats?

87 would have Cardinal. A lot of people only think that BMW had one red for e30's. But when they had four. Two for verts though. I couldn't see what year e30 you had, so i tossed that out there.

Leatherique is a long and tedious process. It takes a couple days to condition the seats by rubbing on the product and putting them in giant trash bags and leaving them in the sun. Once they become soft and supple, you clean and prep for the dye. The dye itself should take about 20 minutes per seat per coat. You would want at least 2-3 coats to get good coverage.'

Its for patient people, its def not something that should be rushed.

That's fine as I'm a patient person...I'd just need to borrow a drivers seat from someone...

i am looking into dyeing my pearl beige seats using leatherique cardinal or crimson color dye. i am going to have it done professional. my seats are in good condition with no cracks or worn areas. i am hoping the leatherique holds and never rubs or wear badly. i have seen some really good pictures of before and after.
