Cabrio Headliner?

Sorry if this is a stupid question - does an E30 cabrio soft top supposed to have some sort of headliner on the top? Mine doesn't, so it is ugly to look at when the tops up. Its also very dark when the tops up with a navy interior with black trim (and soft top is black on the inside).

I'm not sure if thats the way it is or if its previous owner abuse.

If I can put in a headliner, how do I do it?

There is no headliner for the soft top. It would also look rediculos if you try to add one. The black frame will still be uncovered. It you cover over the frame I doubt that you will be able to put it down. If you want to clean up the way the roof of the car looks, buy a hard top. That DOES have a headliner. It also has handles by all four seats (kinda cool yet useless).
