    Seat Repair - Help please!!

    Hey everyone,

I have scoured the site and cannot find ANY information about fixing the seats in my 325e coupe. The driver's side lever to raise the seat to allow access to the rear seat does not work.

Now, I know, just use the passenger side, but now the passenger side is starting to act up and I am afraid that one is going to go too and then nobody but my skinny 10 yr old will be able to get in there.

Does anyone have any tips about how to fix them? I need info from "how do I get at the rear bolts without being able to raise the seat?" to what do I do to fix the mechanism.

    Thanks everyone.

Take the back off of the seat. You probably broke a cable.

I bet the cable isn't broken, it's just the clip on the end of the cable detaches itself from the bracket. You can remove the side cover of the mechanism without taking out the seat. My old 325e had this issue.
