What is the real deal? Kiwi black or leatherique?

I have an interior that is in great condition (only 75k miles)...but the bolster shows the black has worn away...and there are the normal "age" cracks.

Should i just use kiwi and quick wipe to fill these in and recolor the driver bolster? or do the full leatherique thing?

If i use the kiwi, can i never go back and use the leatherique process?

    TY

If you want to keep the cracks from getting worse you should use a product like leatherique. I did leatherique first to get the leather supple and soft again. I then used a kiwi type stuff to then "re-dye" the cracked or worn parts back to black.

Search this interior thread and there are quite a few write ups. I applied my leatherique on a warm day and used medical gloves so I could really massage the oil in to all the seams. Made a big difference, im about due for another application.

i'm about to tackle redyeing my sport seats, but instead of using Leatherique (which is too shiny for me), i ordered the Leather World Tech kit. I'll post pics once i tackle it.

I shot the leatherique dye using a cheap harbor frieght gun and it was not shiny at all. Used it on my racing leathers to cover up some road rash and it was a perfect match.
