My rear defrost button sticks whenever I push it in and sometimes pushing on it will get it unstuck, sometimes it doesnt....can you pull it apart and lubricate anything to get the free movement back or do I have to just replace the switch?
Is there a repair procedure for sticky buttons?

Does it feel like someone spilled soda on it? Like that kind of sticky? Or does it feel like it's mechanically not latching?
Either way, you can take them apart - there are several different designs used over the years. All of them you can take apart with some thin screwdrivers. But be warned - parts can go flying. They aren't real fun to work with. The defrosts are much easier to take apart and put back together.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics? -
A lot of time this is from the bit of grease inside getting old and full of dust.
Get any sort of spray lube with the straw attachment and stick it in and give it a tiny squirt.Comment
