OP, if you have time to snap pics of the crack filler issues you are talking about that would be great. I'm hearing a number of reports this is common so I'm debating whether I should even hide cracks at this point and just dye over them instead

i think you have this thread confused with the other seat resto one? I haven't had any issues with the filler I used.

Do you think one kit is enough to do 2 seats if I was doing the centers as well on both?

Well they said that one kit was enough for both seats.....but I don't think they really factored doing the backs of the seat as well (as i did).

With that said, if you were dyeing it the same color I think one kit is fine. The areas where you use the crack filler will take several coats, whereas the areas that are already black will take fewer coats.

My kit says leather or vinyl, so hoping it works either way....

hard to tell from the pics. Can you see any traces of leather material where the cracks/splits are?
Still need to check this out.

finally installed.....but prob not for long....i scored a set of houndstooth seats so I'm kina torn on which to go with since I'm ecstatic on how these came out.

btw I compared the Leather World Tech results vs. my buddy's Leatherique which he's in the process of doing, and I'm not sure which kit he got but it seems to be very glossy compared to my results. The feel wasn't the same either....the LWT dye left the leather feeling like new soft leather. The Leatherique had a more painted/coated feel. Not as natural.

I painted the rails & plastic sides/recliner covers using Duplicolor trim paint. Also cleaned the mechanical adjusters w/ brake cleaner & relubed them with WD-40.
