So my passenger power window has stopped working. Its a 2-door coupe. The motor is tested and working, and the switch gets power fine, so it seems like it's between the switch and the motor. The motor connection seems to get volts, though not sure if its 12v. Any ideas? Does the door jamb harness become brittle and break often, severing the connection? Does it need +12v to work?

If you have the rail-type regulator it may just need a cleaning. My rear window was seized and looked ok but once I got the old grease off and re-greased the rails, worked like new. It really didn't look like the old grease could stop it from working either, but it was.'89 lachssilber vert - Frau Blücher

I can hook up 12v to the window and roll them up or down as I please (by reversing current). It's not the motor, regulator or rails.Comment
