Any opinion on these seats?

I am about to purchase these seats from this ebay dealer and had a few questions, first off called a few shops here in denver and to reupholster/rebuild my seats the wanted 1000/1200 depending on material. So i headed to the internet and found this guy on ebay, 699 for rebuilt seats covered in "merced" vinyl whatever that is. so im considering purchasing them.

Should i get them in horizontal or vertical stitching? dont no what this refers to, also any one have any idea on the vinyl used? it apparently is "merced" and costs him $19 per sqft vs 32 for the oem bmw. any advice is welcome thanks guys, found my self doing a full restore on this car and want to get the interior finished properly

No affiliation, but I remember reading this last year, and am reminded of it every time I see zoomzoomzoom-ing on ebay.

Again, I have no experience or input regarding the seller, or the disappointed customer. I thought it pertinent to share this.

well i now feel dumb, i checked all 200 something feedback and they were all good. really hoping i didnt get duped, if i did tho guess i will have to handle it promptly. ill immediately talk to paypal and return the seats, even tho he provides a 30 day warranty its definitely not worth getting screwed. thanks for this link. ill let you know the quality in 10 days when they get here.

Any advice on how to protect my interests through paypal during this deal? Ive never had to deal with a possible bad item

Like I said, I have no experience with the seller (I really want to make sure that is clear to anybody who rewards this thread).

I truly hope it works out for you.
Be sure to post up a positive review if the seats are of good quality. I'm sure others who have been scared off by that buyers experience would appreciate a second opinion.

I would avoid ZOOMZOOMZOOM-ING on EBAY! I purchased a complete set of covers, and was initially impressed by the look and fit. HOWEVER, the QUALITY of the material is very CHEAP and will not stand up to even gentle use. The finished surface of the vinyl will easily rub off and you will very soon find yourself looking for new seat covers to cover your
"new" seat covers. Steven Sperling (owner) is not at all easy to work with and I have done other transactions with him in addition to the seat covers.
