How much material is need for a cabrio?

Im about to buy some hides and was wondering how much material was needed for the top/bottom of the back seat. I went to someone stating 1.5 hides just for the back and maybe 2.5 hides for all the seats. Sounds like a lot but just wanted to ask around before buying.

1.5 sounds right for the rear, not certain about the front. You are talking cow hides, yes? I can see 1 hide being enough for the rear, but have the extra is nice. Buying hides from the same batch is helpful, there can be some variance.

Yes, full cow hides. The color match is the hardest part...Indigo blue!
